Structural Models

• New Overlay Surface option replaces former Cloud model type.
• Rotation of wireframe and stick plots dramatically faster, thanks to a custom line-drawing algorithm.
• Improved stick plots: intersections between bonds are better handled.
• Improved display of atom/bond intersections for perspective plots.
• New Show Grid command.
• Enhanced Polyhedral Options, includes option of striped polyhedral shading, and ball-and-stick atom centres in polyhedral plots.
• More powerful polyhedral generation algorithm. Option of plotting any bonded atom as a polyhedral centre. Changes reflected in an extended Polyhedral Options "page" (Model Options dialog).

Rendering

• Depth-fading is now rendered much faster than in previous versions (up to 6 times faster than CrystalMaker 2.1)
• Speed increases for plotting perspective plots with bonds
• Removed the Standard Colour rendering mode.
• New Greyscale rendering mode: equivalent to Photo Colour graphics. Provides a useful indicator for output from most laserprinters
• High-resolution mode. Renders graphics at double the screen resolution, displaying anti-aliased quality graphics (PowerMacintosh only).
